Collective Love is an abstract comic that illustrates one of Ahmad Shamlu’s poems. In this poem, which conveys a social and political concept, the poet speaks of a shared pain and seeks to express poetically that only collective harmony can bring about change in society. He emphasizes that we are all part of a whole and that together, we can make a difference. For the visual representation of this project, a system of visual coding with words and images was used. Additionally, great emphasis was placed on the interplay of lines and shapes, composition, and the use of positive and negative space.
